Well last night was great! Ben slept from 7pm – 4am had a feed then slept again until 7.10 a.m This is such a change from the last week of waking a few times then not settling again and deciding 5am is morning time.
I put him in a footless sleepsuit but he was a bit chilly so put a thin blanket over his legs on top of the swaddling.
The blanket stayed swaddled which I am impressed with – although he did manage to get a leg out

Ben has been sleeping for 11 hours at night straight through for the last couple of week. The last 3 nights he has been awake every 4 hours again. I tried settling him but he cried with hunger and then takes between 2 – 6 oz. He does go back to sleep fairly easily after the feed.He did this randomly once last week too – so don’t think it is a growth spurt. He has been having the same amount of milk during the day. It’ll teach me for being all smug he was doing the 11 hours
I moved him into his own room last week into his big boy cot. The swaddling has become a real issue as no matter how tight I do it he is getting out, but it does work. Think I need to buy a miracle blanket on ebay. I have put him back on the SMA LF today as I just don’t think he is over the lactose intolerance.
He has developed a cold today also – that has maybe be coming for the last few days too! I will just have to see what happen for the next while

Most days Ben will have a long 2 hour sleep but only if swaddled. That is fine if we have no plans around 11am – 1pm (I haven’t enforced that time it just usually falls around then give or take 1/2 hour)
He will also nap for 1/2 hour or so about an hour after getting up. He will sleep whist out in the car and pram and I find if he doesn’t have a long sleep at some point during the day he will get a bit cross by bedtime even if he has had lots of short naps.
He has done a few long sleeps at night, Last night being the longest – 12 hours think it was the combination of having loads of milk during the day and no long sleep. So I have the toss up of either long nap and happier baby in the afternoon, or no long nap and 12 hours at night!!
I have nearly finished making his room organised, I took a notion and built the cot the other day so he will be going in there for naps soon, once I get the blackout blind up. But at the moment he tends to nap on me, in his chair, in the carrycot (although really too big for this now) all depends what I am doing and where he falls asleep.
It always makes me laugh when he falls asleep on his playmat playing then wakes up and carries on playing like nothing happened!
