The Gallery…Mother Love

The theme for Sticky Fingers Gallery this week is Mother Love.

This is Ben at 3 weeks old being dunked in the Tummy Tub with my other 2 babies cats watching.

For those first 3 weeks after bringing him home from the hospital, bathing him put total fear into me, I then got a tummy tub and although still terrifying you will drop them, slightly easier to do.

But this photo is my family, The Ben, The Dodge, The Charger, The Mummy. And I am the person they all love most in the world.

The Gallery…Trees

The theme for Sticky Fingers Gallery this week is Trees.

This was taken after the thaw in December started, we had headed to our local park to feed the ducks and I took out my iPhone and started snapping using the Hipstamatic app.

When I got home this picture was in the mix.

Just proves what beauty there is out there for free and what an iPhone 3GS can take.

This photo was taken on Guy Fawkes night last year, I have debated if I should take Ben down to the seafront or not to watch the Council firework display that is let off from a boat out at sea.

It meant staying up past bedtime, maybe getting cold, him maybe not liking the noise and being grumpy.

But I was so glad I went out of my comfort zone as he loved it, and this photo shows how much!

I am often nervous about his reaction to things, he is often like the Kevin the teenager character and it is hard to judge what he will like and not.

Nothing gives me more delight than him being this happy and saying “I had a nice time.”

The Gallery…Togetherness

The theme for Sticky Fingers Gallery this week is Togetherness.

I hate photos of myself as do so many of us, but this sums up togetherness for me.

This was taken at Ben’s 3rd birthday party, his first home living near the rest of our family, the first with some of his little friends there with us.

I had asked along our extended family and also asked them to bring things for the party, my Mum made the cake, an Aunt came and stuck up balloons, another made sandwiches and they loved being involved.

For me the 2 hours was about having us all there together to celebrate my little boy, his Mummy, his Family & Friends.

He might be ‘missing’ what some think are significant people in his life, but he is not short on people who love him.
